By 9:00 p.m. of Tuesday (26 January 2009, Philippine time). the PRC announced the results of the Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA) held in Manila on 15 and 17 January 2010.
The key results are as follows:
1) there were 1.092 examinees who took the complete LEA;
2) more than fifty percent (50.0%) passed the LEA, including the OBJECTIVE NON-drafting reformatted Subject of Architectural Design and Site Planning, administered for the first time in the country;
3) a graduate of the Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) topped the LEA with a general average of 86.8%;
4) five (5) graduates of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman and three (3) graduates of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) are in the top ten places; and
5) the University of Santo Tomas (UST) is the best school with a 77% passing rate (123 of 160 examinees), with a large proportion of passers being first time takers.

Passers. please do NOT forget that You will only become full-fledged registered and licensed architects (RLAs) after Your 14 March 2010 Oathtaking before the PRBoA. Please take note of the many steps that You still need to take before the Oathtaking Ceremony.
